Moist heat packs used in physical therapy clinics are made of bantonite covered in convas the pack are stored in very hot 150 to 167 degree fahrenheit water when the moist heat tax are prepared for use they are placed in towels and special wraps moist heat may help control pain by blocking pen signals from being transmitted application of heat may also help reduce pain by relaxing and enhancing healing moist heat relaxes muscles and others of tissues stretching during or after this treatment may result in longer lasting improvements and flexibility and joint range of motion
